How long do the drums take to build?

This really does depend on the finish and spec of the order, most snare orders are finished with a few weeks but as a guide we usually say from 4 – 12 weeks on full kits. All progress on orders can be seen on our Facebook Page and we keep you constantly updated via messenger and email.

How do I become part of the family?

Please send a press pack along with what your up and a bit about your shelf, we love hearing about how well your band is doing but that’s not all we look for. AD strives to build drums for the right reasons and for real people don’t forget to tell about yourself.

I don’t have all the money right now can we sort something out?

We try to be as flexible as we can, in most cases we start work with a deposit and the remainder can be made on collect of the finished product. Payment can also be made by credit and debit cards as of Sept 2013 (charges may apply)

Can you ship my order?

Snare drums are simple to ship and don’t pose much risk but full kits tend to be more of a problem. Yes is the answer we can ship all orders. All subject to postage and packaging.

Do you tune the drums before shipping?

All drums are tuned before shipping.

What heads do you use on your drums?

We use all major manufacturers of drum heads like Remo, Evans and Aquarian but as standard all AD Drums are fitted with Remo heads.

Can you cut down my old tom and make a snare?

This is actually how our name came about, AD stands for Altered Designs, many years ago we started out altering peoples drums and making snares out of what they had. Drop us an email with what you have and we will see what we can do.

Do you offer refinishing on drums?

Yes we often take peoples kits and refinish or customize them send us an email and we can discuss the various options.
